She ordered ultrasound of thyroid as a precaution as I had radiation for breast cancer almost five years ago and she wanted to be sure no nodules had formed

It was a good experience. I feel like the doctor listened well. I do not feel I have many options for treatment. And, after the appointment, I have some concerns I'd like to discuss with the doctor further before I begin treatment.

Canon Gunay is top notch

The only reason I would rate fair in this case is the lack of appointments during the time frame recommended by the doctor.

Dr. Gunay is the best doctor I've ever been to. She sits and listens, explains things clearly, doesn't rush, is extremely knowledgeable, that's me as a person, not "just a patient." Highly recommend her as often as the situation exists to.

Dr. Gunay is great but her office is understaffed and communication and followup with her office lately has been difficult. They didnt even have time to reschedule my next appointment.

I’ve had a mixed experience with Dr. Canan Gunay. At times, it feels like there’s a bit of a disconnect between the office and the doctor, which can make coordination and follow-up more challenging. I’ve experienced longer wait times for follow-up appointments (around nine months), which can be difficult when trying to stay consistent with care. Interactions with the office staff have been varied—while some have been helpful, I haven’t always experienced the level of friendliness or communication I was hoping for, including what I’ve observed in the waiting room. In terms of treatment, I’ve left appointments feeling unsure about next steps, particularly around medication changes, which have felt somewhat inconsistent. I’ve also encountered billing charges that weren’t clearly explained ahead of time, which was frustrating and would benefit from more upfront communication. Overall, this practice may not be the best, however, I understand that options in this specialty are limited.

Absolutely horrible experience with the medical assistant and Dr. Gunay. My medical concerns were dismissed, and I felt as though I was more of a nuisance with my medical ailments rather than somebody they wanted to help and treat. I left ashamed and embarrassed. I have never in my life felt so small and so Insignificant. I was spoken to so rudely - if only I had the courage to stand up for myself when I was there. I think I was just so taken back by the unkindness From the entire team that I couldn’t utter a single word. I sat in my car after the appointment and felt so defeated, as I was hoping and praying to find a provider who would listen to me. Will NEVER go back and will never recommend anyone to be seen by this provider

Terrible, rude & unprofessional. The medical assistant & Dr. Gunay. My daughter-in-law left in tears because of their mannerism. She was truly hoping for answers & direction & they completely dismissed her. Being a fragile type 1diabetic from the age of 9 yrs old, she was hopeful that she had found a practice that would assist her with her needs. The MA was extreamly dismissive & condescending. Dr Gunay was of no help at all, as if it was a waist of her time. This is unacceptable & a patient should NEVER leave your practice feeling this way. I work in a hospital & my daughter-in-law is also a medical professional. Word of mouth goes a LONG way! You should be ashamed of yourselves!

She is the first doctor that I had that took the time for for my Type2 diabetes and took an active interest in my health and wellbeing.

Meeting with Dr. Gunary I can tell she is very knowledgeable. However what she discussed with you vs. what notes are put in MyChart 'Visit Summary' are always very different. It was like I was never at the appointment. Left confused.

Dr Gunay is one of the most kindest, caring person to have for my endocrinologist! She makes sure to give me the proper information & care that I need to stay healthy. If I have any questions or concerns I can be sure to receive a follow up call or appointment asap. I'm so grateful to have her as my endocrinologist. Thank you Dr Gunay
