Extremely disappointing experience. I’ve been trying for over a month to get important lab orders and a physical therapy referral addressed. Her assistant would reach out about once a week, but nothing was ever actually resolved, leaving me to repeatedly follow up. I shouldn’t have to chase my PCP for weeks to get basic medical requests handled. I never felt that my concerns were given the attention they deserved, and I’ve ultimately decided to find a new PCP.

The provider does not appear to listen to her patients and often comes across as entitled, condescending, and dismissive. Rather than engaging in a collaborative discussion, she seems to make assumptions without fully considering the patient's concerns or perspective. Additionally, her clinical notes contain inaccuracies that do not accurately reflect what occurred during the visit or what was discussed. This undermines confidence in the accuracy of the medical record and the quality of care provided.

I went for my yearly physical and she asked me how was everything. I told her I have pain on upper side. She sent me for ultrasound. Got a email that I owe $75 dollars to her office. Pretty sad. Regular office visit when all i did was answer her question.

I began seeing Dr. Torres after the birth of my baby, and I am extremely grateful for the care I have received. From my very first appointment, she was compassionate, attentive, and genuinely concerned about my well-being during the postpartum period. Dr. Torres took the time to listen to my concerns, answer my questions thoroughly, and make me feel comfortable and supported. She never made me feel rushed and always treated me with kindness and respect. Her professionalism, knowledge, and caring approach made a significant difference during a very important time in my life. I highly recommend Dr. Torres to anyone looking for a physician who truly cares about her patients. Thank you for providing such exceptional care and support.

Do NOT recommend Dr. Torres. Very unprofessional. My last appointments have been re-scheduled 4-5 times. Hartford HealthCare South Windsor office and her do not care about their patients at all.

If you are suffering from post-traumatic stress, then this is not the doctor for you. My first appointment was made for a physical but instead I got a meet and greet with Dr. Torres. She offered me a few vaccinations and I accepted. There had to be a reason on file for seeing a doctor. I was given a technic shot in my left arm after I told the nurse that I was left handed. Again I asked about a physical and I was told by the receptionist that I had to make another appointment. I waited months to get another appointment with Torres for a physical but this visit resulted in an anxiety attack. This time she was non caring, cold instead of actively listening to the patient. I tried to tell her my story my experience but the show was about her. She said, “You’re mad….” I felt belittled embarrassed and disappointed. My chest started hurting and tears ran like a river from my eyes. Since she failed to perform a physical at the first visit my insurance refused to pay for bloodwork that she requested. The lab was charging me $800. She failed to understand or just didn’t care. I had never experienced that kind of practice from other primary care providers. She was so disrespectful so cold so insensitive. I no longer felt safe in that room and made a brave decision to escape.

Dr. Talia Torres is very kind, helpful, and friendly. Dr. Torres is a great listener who worked with me to develop strategies to improve my health and gave me great encouragement while acknowledging my hard work. She is very thorough and thoughtful as well as positive. I appreciate the way she is patient and never rushes our visit. Dr. Torres takes the time to answer my questions and anticipates my concerns. I’ve recommended her to my family and friends.

She may be good at treating some things but my experience with her has been abysmal. She refuses to follow best practices and the recommended course of treatment for diabetes as recommended by the ADA and I have to fight with her office every time I need medication refills. Her treatment orientation when it comes to diabetics, particularly t2d is outdated and lazy. I would strongly encourage diabetics to seek treatment elsewhere.

She might be great for somethings I don’t know but if you’re a diabetic STAY AWAY. Her attitude towards diabetics is abysmal, she refuses to work with carb ratios which is best practices and recommended by the American Diabetic Association, and I have to battle every single month to get life sustaining medications refilled in a timely manner. If you don’t have a life threatening chronic illness and just need some random run of the mill things maybe she’s wonderful but i absolutely would not recommend her to diabetics or anyone with a chronic illness.

My first appointment with Dr. Torres was wonderful. I was coming in to establish care and had a short list of some health issues I wanted to look into. She was attentive, addressed all of my concerns, ordered the appropriate tests, bloodwork, etc. The nursing staff was kind and helpful. Office staff had great customer service and were very nice. I feel confident in establishing Dr. Torres as my new primary care doctor.

Talia Torres is a young yet knowledgeable doctor. I have been seeing her since late 2024. As 54 young women (LOL), change is hard. We have moved a few times and so getting new doctors can be a challenge. I recently pegged her as my PCP, not going anywhere for a while - I hope!
