Bio
Joerg Rathmann, MD, is a hematologist/oncologist with the Hartford HealthCare Cancer Institute.
Dr. Rathmann completed his fellowship in medical oncology and hematology at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and was previously in practice at St. Francis Hospital where he led the University of Connecticut medical oncology fellowship program. His areas of clinical interest include thoracic/lung cancer, head and neck cancer and general oncology.
Board-certified in medical oncology, he is a member of the American Society for Clinical Oncology and the International Society for the Study of Lung Cancer.
A native of Germany, Dr. Rathmann earned his medical degree from Westfalishce Wilhelms University in Muenster, West Germany, and completed an internship at the University of Bochum in Germany before coming to the United States. He completed his residency training in internal medicine at The Baptist Medical Centers in Alabama.
