If all doctors could be like *Dr. Magaldi the medical profession would be in a better place. He was wonderful from start to finish. He showed kindness and a caring manner. He is very knowledgeable of course. He followed through with phone calls home and his concern is something I haven't experienced in a very long time. I have always been a fan of Hartford Hosp. and my experience with *Dr. Magaldi reinforced this. Thank you.

Bio

Dr. John A. Magaldi, FACR, FACP, is the Rheumatology director for the Hartford HealthCare Bone & Joint Institute, seeing patients in the Hartford and Torrington offices.

After earning an undergraduate degree from Fairfield University, Dr. Magaldi earned a medical degree from St. George’s University in the West Indies and completed a residency in internal medicine and primary care at Yale University, where he was chosen as chief resident and went on to complete a fellowship in rheumatology.

Board-certified in both internal medicine and rheumatology, Dr. Magaldi’s areas of interest include rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, myositis, vasculitis and spondylitis. He is a fellow in the American College of Rheumatology and the American College of Physicians, and a member of the American Medical Association, the Connecticut State Medical Association, the Litchfield County Medical Society and the Arthritis Foundation – Southern New England Chapter, along with being an assistant professor at the University of Connecticut. Recognized as a leader in his field, Dr. Magaldi is well-known for providing educational lectures and grand rounds at leading universities within the United States and internationally.

A Connecticut native, Dr. Magaldi has been practicing rheumatology for nearly 25 years.
