I was in the ER waiting to be admitted. I was informed they had a room for me after being here from 2am till 12pm. They didn't bring me to a room but some transition place. Normally I can put up with anything but this area was filthy for a hospital. They wheeled me into a curtained area with a hamburger, medicine vile and tons of debris on the floor in addition to someone's open bottle of urine sitting on the chair right at the corner of my curtain. Then I'm told I'm not admitted there's no room but I'm expected to do prep for a colonoscopy in this area and run back and forth to a bathroom that's 2 tented areas over, around a corner to a bathroom. Then I'm listening to a Dr at the fest speak about one of the patients with MRSA! Watching the woman across from me throw up for constantly! While at the same time being told to get rest because the next day is going to be really tough. People yelling on speaker phone, people just yelling and just total Chaos. And no I don't blame the nurses this isn't a manageable situation. And the bathroom by the exit door was just gross! My kids were with me and in shock at the whole scene! More once I finally got to a room the room was amazing the nurses were amazing. That transition/staging area was a mess. The ER was amazing too.
